if you need subtitle support for your audio or video files, I’ve just got a new library that will cover you. I’ve had this in store for a few years now but never got to release it, but now I’ve just did it.
You can find the subtitle reader/renderer on PyPi:
Currently it only supports the open SubRip subtitle file format but if others are required, it shouldn’t be too hard to add more. Just let me know if you have specific needs for it.
