Random crashes with MP4 video textures

Trying to play videos rendered with Blender, MP4, H264 codec, no sound, as video textures. Panda plays them fine but keeps dumping these error messages into the console when new video texture is loaded until the program completely crashes with no error message besides “(program exited with code: -1073740940)”. I’m attaching an example video file. I use Windows 10 and Panda 1.10.6. Any ideas what’s going on?
I just do NodePath.setTexture(), nothing more.

If this info helps he errors go away when GOP of the video is 0 frames, even though the video doesn’t play as smoothly to consider this a solution

Update: the random crash seems to be encoding-specific, however I still get

:ffmpeg(error): bad src image pointers

in the console randomly with an MKV container with PNG encoding. But I can at least verify with MKV/PNG I did not notice a random crash and memory leakage after leaving my program running overnight.
Still I think it’s worth investigating, could be something wrong in the ffmpeg wrapper code that doesn’t cause problems for me with MKV but may be a real issue for someone else.
