Python Module Install Issues

The setup for python modules seems to have changed from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 (ppython is no longer used). Now, the makepanda.py installation method doesn’t seem to be documented on how to get the modules installed. Is there something I’m missing in a document someplace? simply copying the modules over to the sitelib directory of the current python version seems to do no good. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Are you compiling from source?

Yes, this is a source compilation using the makepanda build system.

I also meant to ask if this is on Linux - if so, I added information on how to sort of “install” Panda3D into Python on the documentation page about building Linux from Source. I hope that helps.

This is indeed on a Linux system, however I don’t quite see the documentation you were refering to. There’s a page on installing Panda3d, but it seems to only mention the binary packages (rpm’s).

Sorry this is the page:

panda3d.org/manual/index.php/Build … rom_Source
