How much python experience do i need to start using panda? I am currently taking a beginner python class

not that much. enough to get the basics, work with functions, knowing how to read api-references. understanding the concept of classes and OO programming helps a lot,though.
you can simply start working through the manual’s hello world example. or one of the few samples which come with your panda3d installation. the solar-system sample is about the most basic one. if you feel comfortable with you should be able to get the hang of it.
