[Open Source Project] 3D Fighting Game in Panda3D Seeks Programmers and Artists (Smash 64 Style)

Hello. I’m building a fighting game in Python using the Panda3D engine. Currently, the project has a basic structure for menus, reading YAML files, and a modular system for loading characters or stages from mod folders. All of that part of the interface works well, but the code for the fighting arena (arena.py) was generated by an AI and is an unsalvageable mess: the jump physics, gravity, variable passing, and input mapping are completely broken. No AI has been able to fix the gameplay logic, so I’m looking for programmers who want to go into the GitHub repository and completely rewrite or modify the fighting code. You have complete freedom to scrap what the AI did in arena.py and redesign the fight loop, controls, and collisions from scratch as you see fit. On the artistic side, I’m looking for 3D modelers and animators. The idea is for the game to have a retro, low-poly aesthetic with sharp animations, aiming for the visual style and feel of Super Smash Bros. 64. The game’s main roster will consist of classic mascots from open-source software. The characters we need to model and animate are:
Tux (Linux)
Tux’s girlfriend Penny
Hexley (Darwin OS)
Konqi (KDE)
Wilber (GIMP)
The Postfix mouse
