Newbie problems with 1.0.5

Need help getting started I am a true newbie

I downloaded the 1.0.5 version from the top of the list because I assumed it was for windows

I tried to get started on tutorials and I got this out of the script

DirectStart: Starting the game.
Warning: DirectNotify: category ‘Interval’ already exists
Known pipe types:
wglGraphicsPipe
(3 aux display modules not yet loaded.)
:display:windisplay(warning): SetForegroundWindow() failed!
:express(warning): Adjusting global clock’s real time by -5.21686 seconds.

I dont know exactly what I have to do to start watching the tutorials

and I assume that I should be able to get myself started once I can start watching tutorials

Sorry, but your post didn’t fit into the other section. A linux problem was discussed there, that is more in-depth. However, this doesn’t seem to be a installation problem at all, because Panda3D seems to be running.
Did the greeting card show up properly?
Does the Panda3D graphics(!)-window appear?
Did you run the tutorials by clicking their link in the start menu? (If there is any link… sorry, dunno)

The more details you give, the more detailed help you will get (when posted in the right forum section). - Rule of thumb

Sorry if its in the wrong spot

Well I installed 1.0.5 because they said it was more stable and Im just starting out so Im sure whatever is not in 1.0.5 I wont miss

But I did install it correctly I assume (Im not completely stupid) and the greeting card did run properly

When I clicked where it said to get started with tutorials a windows explorer window popped up with several tutorial programs in it.

So I clicked the first one and when it did not show up on the screen where the greeting card had been I looked at the console

and that was the message that showed up.

I just need to find out how to make it so I can watch the tutorials and get started…
