Light and transparent object

I have an question, and it’s in picture below:

I don’t know how light direction after going through transparent object in picture above.

light will go straight through, no scattering, even if it is super cool if things worked like that :slight_smile:

additionally to what rndbit said:
refraction could be faked with the right shader tricks. but for accurate scattering/reflection/refraction you won’t get anywhere with rasterizer engines, you need to use raytracing/casting based rendering for that.
