Howdy! I am Hoot The Pirate I work for a remake of Disney POTCO. The game engine is currently Panda3D but I want to switch to Unreal Engine 4 is there any way I can do that without recreating the whole game file system? Or does anyone know about the files well enough to know how to do that switch?
Short answer: No.
With enough effort you could probably convert the models to a format UE can recognize and I think that’s it. Don’t ask me if that’s even legal - I think not.
If you’re just starting with gamedev, I’d suggest something simpler then a MMO.
Also… why not Panda3D?
