Error set_window_title

Hello, I am french, sorry for my bad english.
I use Panda 1.6.2 because is the last stable version, and I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

#include "pandaFramework.h"
#include "pandaSystem.h"
PandaFramework framework;
int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
  framework.open_framework(argc, argv);
  framework.set_window_title("Panda3D Test");
  WindowFramework *window = framework.open_window();
  return (0);

In this code, when I run the framework.set_window_title bug. But, if I put “Panda3D Test Test” in place of “Panda3D Test”, it works perfectly O_o
Finally it shows me a window title … weird I would like to know why it bugs with two words and three it does not bug.

Thank you in advance !

Hi, welcome to the forums!

The problem is that you’re using Visual Studio 2010. Please use Visual Studio 2008, as the manual instructs, and try again.

We really have to use Microsoft Visual 2008 ?
It suits me not to really develop … I especially Visual Studio Ultimate 2010. But could you tell me why this version bug on this? Because there I see not what version has to do with it. O_o
I’ve been seeing in the manual, they talk about the 2010 version but does not say that we should not use it …

Finally, if I have no choice I will make the 2008 version…

The problem is, the downloadable SDK is built with Visual Studio 2008. So you’d either have to use the same version, or you’d need to build your own version of the SDK. But that’s not so easy, especially as you’d need to build all the thirdparty packages that Panda3D depends on too.

Ah … I still prefer to use Visual Studio 2008 to recompile the entire library. Thank you to you then :wink:
