Weapon detection.

hi , all!
My project at the school is “3D Fighting game”.
It must have a collision detection between a soldier and a weapon ( in this case is a sword ).
My question is how can I attach a bounding cylinder to the weapon?
( I can attach it to the position of my model but I have no idea how to attach it to model’s weapon ( or bone ).

help me please…

Take a look at the “joint manipulation” sample program. You’ll see that the eve character is carrying a teapot. If you press a key, you can make her carry a banana or a sword instead. She could just as easily be carrying a collision cylinder using the same code.
