Terrain question

Hi all,

I’m trying to get my head around terrains in Panda3D, there is a lot of stuff around already, but i’m wondering if there is any info/resource on placing billboards or models on a terrain based on a terrain alpha blend map (like the ones used for detail texturing).

The goal is to position grass, trees, crops,… on the terrain based on a blend map.
