[Solved]Python's default packages

I noticed that there are some default python packages installed with panda3D, they are under

C:\Panda3D-1.2.3\bin\lib

So for example if I wanna use distutils, what should I do?

I tried

from disutils.core import setup
from lib.disutils.core import setup
from bin.lib.disutils.core import setup

Neither of them worked. It just complained about:

No module named (xxx).(xxx).disutils.core

This is my sys.path dump:

['', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\python24.zip',
'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\DLLs', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\lib', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\lib\\plat-win', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\lib\\lib-tk',
'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\lib\\site-packages',
 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\\bin\\lib\\site-packages\\wx-2.6-msw-unicode', 'C:\\Panda3D-1.2.3\x08in\\lib']

Any ideas?

Were you typing disutils or distutils? In either case, distutils is fully documented on the Python website.

Urr… my bad.

Now it’s working!
