I just found out about shadowdemo.py that comes with panda. Has anyone used it yet for dynamic shadows in their game? Is this what Disney did in the pirates game?
Never heard of that file! I’m curious…
I’m gonna take a look at that file right now, because I’m really in need of dynamic shadows!

It’s just projective planar shadow, no self shadowing. Quite good & cheap for distant shadows.
