Saving light node information in a Maya2Egg export

Hello,
I have read a couple of post that stated it is possible for an egg file exported from Maya to retain the lightnode transform information. I cannot get it to save the ligh tnode information when using maya2egg mel script. Here are the 2 post i am refering to:

If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great, thank you in advance. BTW using Maya 8.5.

  1. create a Locator object to be the light’s parent and apply transform to that locator instead of the light (light’s transform must be identity), or
  2. create a Locator object and simply copy the light’s transform to it.

Then, by your script, find that Locator and do whatever you want.
