play an animation only a few times?

How do you make an actor play an animation a limited number of times (without looping)? I have the tutorial panda actor, and want to make him take only 10 steps.

Also, how do you keep an actor from combining animations? I want the panda to walk, then turn, not turn and walk at the same time.
