‘Pirates’ sets sail for online game

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” opens Friday, but the Walt Disney also has high hopes for the property in the strikingly different media of massively multiplayer online games.

I’m actually looking forward to this game because it has a lot of elements incorporated into it that I’d like to include in my own game.

I realize though that Disney VR probably added some bits that won’t be available in our version the engine, still it’s nice to see Panda3d in an action-adventure type game and see what the engine can do in capable hands.

There’s a game play video and screen shots available at the site I’ve linked above.

<<< That means I’m a fan

I was thinking about making a pirate multiplayer online game myself but some companies beat me to it :stuck_out_tongue: one of them being Disney. I can hardly wait to see Panda in action.
I was just thinking  David works for Disney… am I right? David maybe you can put in a good word for the Panda3d comunity here so that maybe Disney picks a couple of people who are interested to test the game (if and when there will be an open beta or something), the plus would be that maybe some of the people here could actually give potential solutions to the bugs they discover  or at least have a general ideea. I for instance would be delighted if such an opportunity would present itself

Just an ideea :stuck_out_tongue: maybe it’s bad. if it is pls disregard

No promises, but I’ll see what I can do.
