How does panda units actually relate to 2d? Is there a standard conversion rate?

The render2d coordinate system is -1 to 1 in both directions. The render coordinate system is 3-d, and has no direct correlation with the 2-d coordinate system, because the 3-d coordinates depend on the position and orientation of the camera.
