ive trid playing toontown and potc online and it gets to about 85% and i get an error message saying p3dpython.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. now when i run my pc in safe mode it plays just fine. i have compltely restored my computer now and it still says the same thing and still only works in safe mode someone help me please!
First time I’ve heard about this kind of problem. Can you tell me more about your computer? What version of the operating system are you running, what kind of graphics card do you have? Have you tried installing the latest drivers for your graphics card?
On POTC, there’s an option under the “Help” menu to change your graphics API. Try changing to OpenGL to see if anything different happens, and please report back here either way so I’ll know what’s happening.

I am getting the same error message. I had to replace my power supply, and now Pirates OTC wont load. I get 52% loaded each time and then the same error occurs. No other hardware or software changes. I have tries the DX9 & OpenGL settings. Any other suggestions?

have been plating fine for 3 months, over 100 visits to POTC online
Can you post your log files? In particular, I’d like to see a recent pirates.log file. You’ll find these in the Panda3D/log folder, where Panda3D is as described in “The runtime Panda3D directory” in the manual.
