P3D and OpenAL on Linux

Where does Panda’s OpenAL mods stand as far as compatibility with Linux? I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that P3D’s OpenAL has issues with OS Linux.

I currently use the 1.7.1 version of Panda.

If my App’s sound is going to be broken on Linux, then maybe I should list the title as Win and Mac only…?

That was a long time ago. (1.7.1 was a long time ago, too. Don’t use it.) As far as I know, OpenAL has been stable on Linux for a while.
