Override OS keyboard mappings

Hi, is it possible to configure panda to override the keyboard shortcuts in my window manager (I’m using gnome)? I’d like to use alt-control-left_arrow in my panda application, but it’s currently used to change workspaces on my desktop. I’d rather leave my gnome settings as they are if possible.

i doubt. cause the OS is what receives the keyboard input, and redirects it to the application if applicable. so panda doesnt even get the alt-ctrl-arrowleft event afaik

I think you’re right. Bah! More trouble than it’s worth. I’ll just use a different key combination. Thanks!
