Occasional crash when using DirectX

Hello, I am having issues with people crashing when using DirectX when switching zones after playing for some time. This is the issue that is in the log:

AssertionError: _contexts == nullptr at line 299 of panda/src/gobj/geomVertexArrayData.cxx

This is something that seems to happen sporadically. Any thoughts?

Which version of Panda3D are you using? I seem to vaguely recall that something like this was fixed.

Are you using the multithreaded render pipeline?

I am using 1.10.5 and no multithreaded rendering.

I think I can hypothesize that its not an out of memory issue, as those are handled and properly print an “Out of memory” message in the log.
