I sort of understand the skeleton setup for multipart actors.
My question is about the modelling of the meshes at the points that the meshes join - say where a neck connects to the torso.
Do you overlap the vertices at the site of the join or leave the vertices of each mesh very close together but not overlapping.
You’d probably need to design your meshes to overlap, or you’ll see cracks when the meshes move individually. Note that you can’t bridge polygons across the gap between different parts of a multipart actor, so they have to be modeled with interpenetrating geomety.
Thats what i suspected - you would likely get visual artifacts at the join if you didnt overlap them.
