Movietexture problems

Hi everybody,

I’ve been working on a project for several months. It is a virtual museum of early computer art. I have some videos which I have included as art works. But I have some problems, and I have not been able to find documentation on movietexture furthere than the Media Player Sample.

I based my code on the Media Player Sample and runs without a problem with the SneezePanda file. But when I replace it with my videos it crashes after playing the video once.

The video originally has no audio, but I edited the file in Premier and added an empty audio line.

I get the following output:

:movies(error): Seek failure. Shutting down movie.

Anyone has a clue what the problem could be?
Is there any documentation on the video formats, codecs, specifications needed?

Thanks for any help!

Could we examine your video? Its probably not in exact format ffmpeg expects. I bet its proprietary codec, You could convert it to some thing open like ogg video. You can’d distribute it with a proprietary video any ways see: panda3d.org/manual/index.php/License_Info
