croxis did actually make some very good points, in my opinion. I didn’t read it as harsh at all.
But you’re right that the topic has diverted from its original purpose. I have already linked this thread to the server maintainer and it’s most likely not going to happen anyways. CMU has to pay for the extra bandwith and the server and its maintainer are burdened enough anyways.
As requested I reread what I wrote. Other than a couple of grammar errors and typos I found no sarcasm. There was also none when I wrote it. Just because someone has a different perspective does not mean they are being condescending or sarcastic. I just had a creative twist on the “common FOSS wisdom” that I thought I would share.
And with that I shall step away before things become unproductively heated.
