loading my world

Hello there, just a question about loading worlds into panda, only some of my models load, and i get this messace in the cmd window;

:egg2pg(warning): Ignoring inappropriate format rgba for 3-component texture Tex
1881
:egg2pg(warning): Ignoring inappropriate format rgba for 3-component texture Tex
2049
:express(warning): Adjusting global clock’s real time by -26.9244 seconds.

Can you help?

Thank you

Nathan Jija

Did you write the file by hand?
Did you try to show the file with pview?

It was a modified panda tutorial file, and nothing would show in the preview.

Did you modify it by hand?

Can you post the original lines and the new ones?
I guess there is a mistake with the textures you have created.
It looks like you have a wrong syntax for two colors in your file

import direct.directbase.DirectStart
from direct.task import Task
from direct.actor import Actor
from direct.interval.IntervalGlobal import *
import math

#Load the first environment model
environ = loader.loadModel(“models/moun_2”)
environ.reparentTo(render)
environ.setScale(0.25,0.25,0.25)
environ.setPos(-8,42,0)

#Task to move the camera
def SpinCameraTask(task):
angledegrees = task.time * 6.0
angleradians = angledegrees * (math.pi / 180.0)
base.camera.setPos(20math.sin(angleradians),-20.0math.cos(angleradians),3)
base.camera.setHpr(angledegrees, 0, 0)
return Task.cont

taskMgr.add(SpinCameraTask, “SpinCameraTask”)

run()

Sorry, if you mean did i create the world by hand then yes.

Can you send me or post the “moun_2”.
the code is ok.
Btw use the code tag if you post code

Cheers i will rember the tag next time but
its 40Mb, not sure how to get it to you.

Ok 40 Mb a bit to big for me
But:
search your file for “Tex 1881” or just 1881 and “Tex 2049” and post the lines
(with code tag)

There is no refrence to Tex 1881 or Tex 2049 in the file, if it helps the models that wont load are a mountain a plane for the land and half a geo sphere for a sky all with respecive textures.
I Will try the world with various changes (no textures or simple models with the textures).
Do you know of any perticular requirements the models need before exporting to .egg?

Thanks again for your help :slight_smile:.

Those warning messages are generally ignorable. The model should still have loaded.

It rather sounds like your models are loading, but perhaps you aren’t seeing some of the larger models because the far plane is too close in. Try doing:

base.camLens.setFar(100000)

David

thank you i will try it out
