I was trying to do hardware instancing but I get errors when calling setShaderInput. basic-shaders-only is set to false and I’m using Panda ver 1.7.2; I’ve read a post that the series of the graphic card matters, I have a nVidia GForce 6800. Can someone let me know if I need a new computer … ha 
The earliest geforce that will work is the 8000 series. Anything before that will not work since they do not support the necessary OpenGL version.
For ATI/AMD any “Radeon HD” model will work.
This is on Windows. Have not tried the latest mac OS, but on snow leopard I don’t think the drivers supported the needed OpenGL version even if the hardware did.
