Determining Height of a Model at Runtime

Is there a function that returns the height/width/length of a model at runtime? If not does anyone have any suggestions on how to determine it?

Yep, it is possible.
You can get the boundaries of a model with getBounds.
See also this example, which uses getBounds to detect the radius of a model.

Thanks this will help me a lot. :slight_smile:

#
# Description:
#
#	Retrieve the dimensions of a model.
#
# Input(s):
#
#	model - Model to be examined.
#
# Output(s):
#
#	Returns a list with 3 elements as follows:
#		out[0] - Model X dimension
#		out[1] - Model Y dimension
#		out[2] - Model Z dimension
#
def GetModelDimensions(model) :
	pt1, pt2 = model.getTightBounds()
	modelXDim = pt2.getX() - pt1.getX()
	modelYDim = pt2.getY() - pt1.getY()
	modelZDim = pt2.getZ() - pt1.getZ()
	return [modelXDim,modelYDim,modelZDim]
