Well, this is more of an opinion thing, I just wanted to find out how you guys actually work your cameras…
'cuz at this point in time, my camera is quite… difficult to work with…
I have 2 methods which I have used at the moment (separately)
-
Attaching a collision segment from the camera to the player, and alpha-ing anything in the way
-
Attaching a pusher for the camera against the wall, so that it will slide against walls
The thing is… Well…
-
As most would know, alpha is quite screwy… So it usually ends up with cases where the player becomes invisible, or some walls becoming invisible…
-
The collision… Kills me. Sometimes going through walls at particular angles, other times going completely wonky for reasons I do not comprehend.
So… I’m just curious, how do you guys make your cameras without having those crazy camera glitches enough to make you throw your controller/mouse against the wall?
