Collision Solids

Does anyone else find the Manuals section on Collision solids a bit misleading?

When I first read that I was under the impression that you COULD use a collision tube as an into object, it just wouldn’t work as well. Is there any way to use a collision tube a from object or is the manual lying?

Hum, you’re right. The manual is being overly optimistic, which is to say, it is lying. There are, in fact, no intersection tests from tubes into other shapes. (One could argue that zero is, in fact, “not many”.)

The hope was that one day we would get a chance to write some of these intersection tests, thus making the tube at least somewhat useful as a from object. It just hasn’t happened yet.
