I’m trying to follow the tutorials using C++ instead of python, but I’m stuck being unable to find the classes TaskManager and Actor in the include headers. Am I missing something?
TaskManager and Actor are Python-only classes.
The Task system is implemented fully in Python. There are other constructs (outside of Panda3D) that can be used to implement task-like things in C++. For instance, you can use a threading library (though you would have to compile Panda3D to be thread-safe, which involves a bit of fuss), or you could write your own simple system to call functions from time to time.
Actor is a high-level interface to the lower-level Character class. To implement Actors in C++, use Character.
