Browser build in any plans?

Ok, building again. The only way to get the broken version is to build, because I replace it.

Available here.

Clarify: I might have multiple copies of panda3d installed on my main system, because I deliberately installed 1.10.8 over 1.10.7. And, I am pretty sure I installed panda3d into different versions of python, and one of them might still have 1.10.7. But I don’t have multiple copies installed on the second mac or on linux. I have multiple copies of the webgl-port on my primary system, of course, but I have replicated the problem on a ‘clean’ mac and a clean linux.

which interrogate returns:

/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.8/bin/interrogate
and on linux
/home/david/.local/bin/interrogate

BTW, after installing flex and nodejs, I deleted all of embuilt and started over, as I always do unless I am deliberately replacing something.

OK, thanks—this helps. Quick question, what is the output of flex --version and bison --version for you?

I can reproduce the parser.yxx.h error when I uninstall bison from my system.

So, I should have realised this, but using the newer collisionHandlerPhysical.h changes requires changes to interrogate that are newer than are in 1.10.8. The version of interrogate that ships with 1.10.9 (which will hopefully release within a matter of weeks) will be adequate, or a version of interrogate built from the latest sources.

In the meantime, you can comment out the line containing EXTENSION(void __setstate__ in panda/src/collide/collisionHandlerPhysical.h instead of copying over libp3collide_igate.cxx.

I pushed a fix for the parser.yxx.h issue. It happens when bison cannot be found by makepanda.

OK, I didn’t get it. Flex and bison were not installed. Python flex and python bison were installed. That is, with pip install flex and pip install bison (which returned that it was already installed). But sudo apt install flex and sudo apt install bison installed them now. As you expected, got rid of parser error.

Sorry, I did not understand.

Thanks for the fix to collisionHandlerPhysical

All good! I uploaded latest (and last?) versions of build instructions

They say to use panda3d 1.10.9 and to check for bison and flex.

I also got someone to run QA on the game, made the fixes, ready to decide how to take it forward. Lighting of course a bit less than ideal, but otherwise very happy with it as a PoC. Thank you.

What do you mean by manually? @marrella said commenting it out. Is this a good idea?
