I would like to add hair for a human model. So far I can only find sophisticated implementations from Nvidia samples. Do you know if there is simple/practical implementations but with realistic effects ?
Similarly like you do grass: some planes with a hair texture applied, with alpha.
But yeah, hair has always been a tricky subject - especially doing the lighting correctly is hard.
I would love to see one of those nvidia samples ported to panda, though. Maybe I’ll take a poke at it one day.
I thought about that also…just wondering if there will be some limitations on controlling the hair style.
A more advanced, but also more expensive idea is to use panda’s Rope class with a texture.
