I currently maintain an Arch package for panda3d bundled with bullet and working audio. The issue is, does 1.8.1 still depend on old versions of ffmpeg (0.5) and the old bullet CVS? I can’t seem to find this information anywhere.

Panda doesn’t currently compile against the most recent version of ffmpeg, I’m afraid. I’m not sure about Bullet; I don’t think that there should be a problem with newer versions of Bullet, but enn0x would be the person to ask.
